Guessing Rhyme-Association Game

Instructions:

Your objective is to be the last person to run out of rhymes

  • Two players go back and forth trading hints at the word they are trying to get the other person to guess.

  • The first person comes up with the rhyme scheme by saying a sentence or asking a question.

    • Embedded within that sentence or question is a hint at the word they are describing. For example,

Person 1: You’re not talking about that animal that is known for meowing?

Person 2: No, that’s a cat. I’m talking about the thing that you put on your head.

Person 1: Oh, you mean a hat? [Insert a new clue for a new word that continues the rhyme scheme]

  • The game continues until one person runs out of words to rhyme with.

Praxis (why + theory):

This game keeps two (or more) people engaged with each other, particularly where there may otherwise be quiet. I appreciate how the game either keeps people interacting or brings them back into each other to create a fun moment between them.
